Homo Sapiens Iris Garden

Visconti announces the launch of the new Homo Sapiens Iris Garden inspired by the Iris Garden in Florence, Italy. This pen is a tribute to the beauty and elegance of the irises that bloom between the end of April and the end May in the historic Florentine garden, which is located near the Piazzale Michelangelo and offers a stunning view of the city.
The history of the so-called “lily” of Florence is controversial. It seems that it originated froma white Iris, the Iris Florentina, which grew abundantly in the Arno Valley during the Florentine Republic and which the people called “ghiacciolo” or icicle, for its white, slightlybluish color. The iris is not only a symbol of Florence, but also of its rich history and culture. The lily was adopted as the emblem of the city in the 11th century, when it was used todecorate the banners and shields of the Florentine soldiers. The lily also represents wisdom, courage and faith, qualities that have characterized Florence throughout thecenturies.
Like previous limited collections in the Homo Sapiens series, Iris garden is made fromspecial semi-transparent demo resins carefully selected by Visconti’s designers. The highlight oft he collection, however, is definitely the rose gold trims that perfectly match the coloring ofthe resin and add a touch of light and preciousness to the design.
