La Grande Bellezza Arco Blue Bee

Arco’s magic lies in the material. An overlay of transparent and opaque layers joined bya golden glue. It is first cut to size and then turned with an inclination of 4 degrees. The result is a semitransparent and iridescent material, reminiscent of celluloid. Arco is equipped with a piston filling system and the patented Pineider magnetic locking system. Arco is produced in 888 numbered pieces.
The new 2020 version is made in a new color and is equipped with a black resin section. The blue and yellow of the resins alternate and unite thanks to the gold colored glues. Turning brings out the overlapping layers, a mix of materiality and technology.
The nib,made of 14 Ct gold, it writes with the lightest stroke, it is flexible and dynamic. Hyperflex is meant to be used every day all day long. The engraving of the tip is inspired by an Art Nouveau print, taken from the Pineider archive. The shape is similar to a keyhole and gives it a special meaning.
The outline of the engraving tool (Bulino), has been used by Pineider craftsmen to manufacture the exclusive molds, since 1774. The small notches on the side of the nib are fundamental for its performance, getting rid of sufficient metal gives perfect tip flexibility.
