Van Gogh the Novel Reader

The intense and marked colors that characterize The Novel Reader, a work created by Vincent Van Gogh in
November 1888, inspired this new special collection, presented in the special set that includes a dedicated ink for the fountain pen version and a practical bookmark for the roller and ball versions. This particular numbered edition is equipped with golden hardware and, in the fountain pen version, with
nib personalized with Van Gogh’s signature. Behind what it might seem at first glance
simply a young woman reading a book hides a real revolutionary message. The yellow color of the book cover indicates that it is a modern novel, acceptable reading for a man, but inadmissible for a woman. What immediately catches the attention is in fact the intensity and involvement of the mysterious reader in the novel, perfectly represented by Van Gogh’s brushstrokes. The pen is available in three writing versions: fountain pen, roller and ballpoint. The nib has three size variations: Fine, Medium and Broad.
