Venere di Milo

The most important Italian manufacturer of luxury pens celebrates the bicentenary of the discovery of Venus de Milo with a limited marble edition that brings back to life one of the most important treasures of world art.
In his room inside the legendary Louvre Museum, the Venus of Milo, one of the most loved sculptures in the world, imposes itself with its 202 centimeters of stature, Montegrappa in a limited edition recreates its beauty in just 140 thousand meters! After all, her being synonymous with beauty has always been linked both to perfection and to her defects.
The creative process began with marble. Using 3D modeling, a technique developed for the edition dedicated to Antonio Canova (2017), the reference product for this kind of creations, Montegrappa has developed special molds that reproduce every nuance of the original in high resolution. These molds were then filled with a very fine marble powder which, once dried and hardened, gives the pen a marble effect that is difficult to distinguish from a pen made of stone. The velvety surface of the sculpture is enhanced by the metallic filigree finishes made of quality bronze in a limited edition of 200 pieces in the world. The fountain pen is piston-powered and uses a 6 mm 18 kt gold nib (EF, F, M, B, BB, ST1), personalized with an engraved outline of the Venus of Milo and the Montegrappa logo.
