Once again our long time partnership with the Florentine company Visconti has led to the realization of an old dream of mine: the vintage blue striped celluloid returns to shine in our limited series collection: Blue Dream or Sogno blu in Italian.
The blue rods, left unattended for years in the Visconti warehouses but heartily kept in the dreams of collectors, see the light again today thanks to our determination. The diameter of the available bars did not allow to create a large pen such as the Homo Sapiens or the Opera, nor a faceted pen. In the end we found the ideal solution by creating this unique model that is inspired by the original and clean lines of Visconti’s Manhattan collection. The section is made of black celluloid which makes the line even more fascinating and gives it a vintage character. Our name is engraved on the body of the pen proudly shwing our year of foundation
The filling system is the classic power vacuum filler of the Florentine house and the iconic Visconti clip bears the logo inside a blue enamel layer.
The pen, however, keeps considerable dimensions: 146 mm long closed, 65mm of which is the cap. The body from the bottom to the section is 109mm long while the cap diameter is 15mm.
The nib, in house made in Florence, is in 14kt solid gold and available in 5 different sizes.
We offer two versions: one of only 20 pieces with 14kt yellow gold trims,14kt solid yellow gold cap rings, 14kt solid gold nib and one in silver, limited to 70 pieces with a 14kt rhodium plated nib.
We are happy and proud to offer once again a splendid edition in celluloid, a symbolic material of the Italian manufacturing production of excellence in the field of pens. An historical material whose value is appreciated all over the world and which unfortunately we can only enjoy by using the stocks still available in the warehouses of the Italian pen comapnies.
The pen will be available around the 10th of October 2021!
